Hybrid Pyridine Bis-Anthracene-Imidazolium Salt: NMR Studies on Zn-Acetate Complexation

We report here the design and synthesis of a new hybrid bis-anthracene-imidazolium salt, having pyridine scaffold. NMR studies dimer generation, as well complexation with zinc acetate were performed.

A weak dispersive Cl⋯Cl contact [3.4342 (3) Å] connects the mol-ecules into a chain along the [101] direction. A π-π inter-action with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.7481 (5) Å is also observed.
